Advanced Notification of Updates to the Telephone System for Penryn & Falmouth Campuses – Monday 24th March 2025
The IT and digital directorate will be migrating Falmouth Exeter Plus, Falmouth University, the University of Exeter and the SU’s telephone number ranges from existing provision to a new contract. This will result in efficiency savings and a more direct route to support. Once completed, you will be able to continue to use your phones as before, with no changes to how you make or receive phone calls.
All landline numbers may be temporarily unavailable at some point between 9:00 am and 13:00 pm on Monday 24 March 2025
- The porting process typically involves a maximum downtime of 20 minutes, if any, occurring between 9am and 1pm.
- During porting, inbound, outbound, and voicemail services may be unavailable. Forwarding numbers within these ranges to another range will not be possible as a workaround.
- Internal calls will remain unaffected (this includes lift alarm handsets).
- Ongoing inbound or outbound telephone calls will not be interrupted.
- Emergency calls should be made using mobile phones during this period.
Details of the extensions can be found below; key stakeholders have been contacted directly.
14XX, 17XX, 18XX, 27XX, 37XX, 38XX, 3XXX, 4XXX, 5XXX, 259XXX
If you have any concerns, please contact servicedesk@fxplus.ac.uk.
