Service Status & Opening Times

The lift nearest the recording studios (asset 00227 in location B024-260) in the AMATA building is temporarily out of service and our contractors have been contacted to resolve the issue. This means there is restricted accessible access. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Due to refurbishment most areas of the Tannachie Garden Building (including Falmouth library, Lecture Theatre 1 and Seminar A&B, the main entrance and toilets) will close on Monday 3 June 2024 from 8:00am. It is planned to reopen the building on 13 September (approx.) when the refurbishment is complete. The drawing studios in the Tannachie Garden Building have their own entrance and will remain open for access to the studios only. However, whilst the works take place, some noise disturbance is to be expected.

At times, there may also be potential disruption to main road through campus, to allow for deliveries and contractor vehicles on site. Our contractor will fully comply with all Health and Safety legislation and any alternative and accessible routes will be signposted by the Estates team.

Essential maintenance is required to refresh our IT Network and to replace end of life infrastructure across our campuses. This work will be occurring during the morning, taking approximately 30 minutes, and will affect the wired and wireless network (including Wi-Fi, phones, printers, and tills). This means a connection will be unavailable in the following locations on the specified date and time.   

If you are based in these locations, you will need to use a workspace in another area on our campuses during the 30-minute timeslot, or work from home.

The refurbishment of Lemon Games will commence on Monday 1 July, with likely completion the week commencing 19 August (estimated). This means that the following rooms: Lemon, Mint and Lime, will not be bookable whilst the works take place. Our contractors are aware of graduation dates and works will not take place on these days.

Due to the removal of the site compound containers, the entrance to the Games Academy car park will be cordoned off, and no one will be able to access the car park until the removal works have been completed. This will take place on Monday 15 July between 7:00am and 13:00pm. During this time, the exit door on the side of the building will be closed for emergency exit routes only. All access to the building will be through the front doors until the removal is complete.

The Creative Bridge entrance will be closed to allow remedial works to take place to the external area in front of the entrance and the internal lobby entrance area. During this time, please use the accessible alternative route into the building via AIR or Launchpad.

Due to the erection of scaffolding and the replacement of Velux window in the roof, the Lamorva main entrance and carpark will be restricted. Movement around the car park and surrounding areas will also be restricted due to the scaffolding lorry. The play area in the nursery will be closed whilst the scaffold is being erected.

Due to the partitioning works being carried out in IFY Graphics, there will be no access to the space from Tuesday 16 July through to Monday 5 August (estimated).

Please be aware that the dates for Graduation this year are:

• University of Exeter, 25-26 July

• Falmouth University, 30-31 July & 1st August.

On these dates the car parks (and campuses) will be extremely busy. During this time, car sharing is encouraged and, where possible, you may consider remote working or visiting campus on an alternative day.

Penryn Campus testing: Fridays 7:30am to 9:00am.
The bell will sound for a few seconds so please take no action and do not evacuate the building at this signal. If you cannot hear the alarm in your area, please inform Security on extension 5875. Should the bell continue to sound, please assume it is a real alarm and evacuate accordingly. Please obey alarms at all other times.
