Over the summer, when students leave campus, some FX Plus services switch to operating a reduced service and opening times. These will revert back to their usual opening times when the new term starts. You can find a summary of any temporary changes to our services below:

Penryn Campus Library
- Open 24/7 throughout summer
- Starting on Saturday 14 June, there will be a reduced staff presence, but the Penryn Library will be open at the weekends for self-service. Instead, the space is regularly patrolled by our Safety and Support team. If you require assistance or would like to report any concerns, you can contact them at any time using the SafeZone app or the 24/7 Emergency line 01326254444.

Student Helpdesk (Compass Helpdesk)

- From Monday 16 June, the Student Helpdesk will revert to out of term-time opening and is available on weekdays 9am – 5pm.
- Usual term time hours resume on Monday 8 September.
Multifaith Chaplaincy
The summer opening hours for Multifaith Chaplaincy services are as follows:
- The Chaplaincy room in Fox Building on Falmouth Campus will be open in line with the building opening times, 9am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Penryn Chaplaincy will remain open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, including the Summer Bank Holiday. While there will be a reduced presence of chaplains, as most will take a well-earned break until September, Mary will continue to come in most Thursdays. Students and staff are welcome to use the space and make themselves at home with a cup of tea or coffee.
- The Muslim prayer room on the Penryn campus remains open 24/7 throughout the summer to staff and students (via student/staff ID card), including Bank Holidays.
- There may be some disruptions to carry out deep cleaning and maintenance of the spaces, but details of these are to be confirmed. Please keep an eye on our disruption pages which will be updated with full details.

Our helpdesks remain open throughout summer operating usual opening hours (8:45am – 5:15pm) but will close for the Summer Bank Holiday (Mon 25 August 2025).
Sports Centre
The Sports Centre’s opening hours remain the same throughout the summer, with the exception of the Summer Bank Holiday, where will operate reduced hours
