The lift nearest the recording studios (asset 00227 in location B024-260) in the AMATA building is temporarily out of service and our contractors have been contacted to resolve the issue. This means there is restricted accessible access. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Due to refurbishment most areas of the Tannachie Garden Building (including Falmouth library, Lecture Theatre 1 and Seminar A&B, the main entrance and toilets) will close on Monday 3 June 2024 from 8:00am. It is planned to reopen the building on 13 September (approx.) when the refurbishment is complete. The drawing studios in the Tannachie Garden Building have their own entrance and will remain open for access to the studios only. However, whilst the works take place, some noise disturbance is to be expected.

At times, there may also be potential disruption to main road through campus, to allow for deliveries and contractor vehicles on site. Our contractor will fully comply with all Health and Safety legislation and any alternative and accessible routes will be signposted by the Estates team.

The central section of the spine corridor located between DDM Library seminar link bridge and CSM rock museum is closed due to a pipe leak. Access to other offices needs to be via routes external to the building around Stella Turk. A diversion and signage are in place.

Due to the erection of external scaffolding around the Peter Lanyon West and SOFT Link Bridge, there may be some noise disruption at some point during the week commencing 2 September. Other than the potential noise of the works, this should not affect campus users as this is a gated area behind Peter Lanyon.

Due to essential roof maintenance, some outside areas surrounding the Peter Lanyon and Daphne Du Maurier buildings may be temporarily blocked off as a precaution for risk management. These closures should be brief and cause minimal disruption to campus users.

To carry out essential repairs, between 2-20 September, there will be scaffold erected to the southern elevation of Perter Lanyon West, directly outside the IoP Print Services to the ground floor and the Photography Staff office (B018W-127). This means that there may be potential noise disruption whilst the works take place. The area will be fenced off with signage in place. Pedestrians will still be able to circulate around the area as normal.

The bell will sound for a few seconds so please take no action and do not evacuate the building at this signal. If you cannot hear the alarm in your area, please inform Security on extension 5875. Should the bell continue to sound, please assume it is a real alarm and evacuate accordingly. Please obey alarms at all other times.
