Information for Suppliers

To transform Procurement into a strategic function focused on creating long term consolidated supply partnerships with an industry leading approach to responsible supply chains aligned to the triple bottom line model

Our procurement team  is committed to the promotion of the highest standards of professional procurement in line with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/102/contents/made

70% of our food and drinks suppliers are locally based (Devon and Cornwall) – reducing food and transport carbon emissions and helping to support the local economy. In total, 36% of all our suppliers are based either in Cornwall or Devon.

The Falmouth Exeter Plus Procurement team has signed up to the NETpositive supplier engagement platform. This tool allows us to assess our suppliers’ sustainability credentials in greater detail, and enables us to work with them to build sustainability objectives and action plans together.  Using NETpositive will help reduce our indirect carbon emissions through increasing the sustainability of our suppliers.

We require all of our suppliers to register and complete the required information on this platform to ensure we work together to develop our sustainable procurement goals. NETpositive (net-positive.org)

As part of our organisational strategy, we are committed to achieving a 50% reduction in carbon scope 3 emissions by 2030.  The Procurement team are working closely with suppliers to ensure that they have (or are working towards) a carbon reduction strategy and that scope 3 carbon reduction is a major part of their quarterly reporting activities.

Where applicable, we offer 3-4 year contracts to ensure that we can develop longer term supplier partnerships.

During 2021 we introduced a Supplier Performance Rating system that measures our suppliers performance against objectives and KPI’s as set out in the contractual agreements. In addition to this, we have implemented regular supplier review meetings to ensure that the supplier/ customer relationship is developed and established  throughout the duration of the contract.

We host all of our tendering opportunities on our Falmouth Exeter Plus e-tendering site FXPLUS (eu-supply.com).  Please register on this platform to receive notifications of projects that may be of interest.

As per procurement regulations, our opportunities are also posted on the governments contract finder site https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder
