Service Status & Opening Times

There are issues with the heating system at Falmouth campus, with heaters in Fox 3 and Fox 4 not working.

Engineers have started work to rectify the problem with potential for some disruption as works continue. The Facilities team is providing temporary heaters to keep the spaces warm as required.

Please wear suitable clothing to remain comfortable when using affected areas; the Art shop, the Student Hub area and a number of teaching spaces in the lower Fox Building.

The plantroom lift in AMATA (Asset 00227) is temporarily out of service. Our contractors have been made aware, and we hope to get this fixed as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience. The Walled Garden, Penryn Campus, will be closed to carry out ongoing necessary work to the masonry wall. There will be no access to the Walled Garden for the duration of the works. Work to redevelop the bike stands on Old Lane will take place from Monday 9 February to Friday 20 February 2026. During this time, the bike stands will be unavailable while a new concrete base and covered bike shelter are installed. 

Please use alternative bike storage during this time, with the AMATA bike shelter being the nearest option.  

Be aware that all bikes must be removed from the Old Lane Bike Stands by 6pm on Sunday 8 February. Any abandoned bikes or bikes left locked to the stands will be removed in line with the Abandoned Bike Policy to allow works to proceed. 

The new and improved bike shelter is expected to be completed and ready for use by Friday 20 February.

To allow essential tree safety works to take place, the lower area of Treliever Road will be closed on Tuesday 10 February for the day.
The Highways Authority has been notified, and a signed diversion will be in place. Bus services will continue to run as normal but will operate via an alternative route. Access to campus and Packsaddle will not be affected.

We will be installing new doors in Stella Turk on the Ground Floor internal corridor, affecting spaces B0046-006 and B0046-002. The spaces will remain open but there will be a diversion in place for the duration of works on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 February. Please follow the local signage.

Part of Car Park E, Penryn Campus, will be closed from Monday 5 January to Tuesday 31 March, due to ongoing construction works. During this period there will be a reduction in parking.

Due to essential electrical maintenance work, the ESI Building will undergo a planned power outage on Tuesday 7 April, between 8:00am–9:00am, while the FX Plus teams connect the building to a generator. During this time, the building will remain closed and will have a delayed opening of 9:00am, when power to the building will be restored. Due to essential electrical maintenance work and a planned power outage, the Peter Lanyon building will remain closed on Tuesday 7 April, 8:00am–17:00pm. Service managers of the spaces have been made aware, and all rooms will be unavailable for the day. Penryn Campus testing: Fridays 7:30am to 9:00am.
The bell will sound for a few seconds so please take no action and do not evacuate the building at this signal. If you cannot hear the alarm in your area, please inform Safety and Support on 01326 255875. Should the bell continue to sound, please assume it is a real alarm and evacuate accordingly. Please obey alarms at all other times.
