The Stannary Kitchen

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

The Stannary Kitchen is the main eatery on the Penryn campus and caters for all, including vegan and gluten free diets.

We serve a full English Breakfast, breakfast baps, cereals and pastries – Monday to Friday, 8am to 10.30am.

At lunchtime we offer a daily Stannary Special. This is a rotating Signature Menu of delicious, wholesome dishes, with recipes inspired from all around the world. On Wednesdays, our Stannary Special is a traditional Roast dinner with local meat, a vegan option and all the trimmings.

You’ll also be able to choose from a Surf and Turf menu of burgers with skinny fries, tomato & lettuce, and fish and chips with sides.

There is also a daily Jacket Potato Bar with a range of toppings, to give you plenty of choice at lunchtime.

Stannary Kitchen Signature Menu

The Stannary Kitchen serves wholesome, freshly cooked dishes with a choice of meat or vegan specials. We operate rotating weekly menus every four weeks – see sample below. Every Wednesday, we offer a traditional roast dinner for £5.50, including a delicious vegan option.

Week 1

MONDAY

Middle Eastern spiced roasted chicken or middle eastern spiced roasted chickpea cakes. Both served on traditional stone baked khobez flatbread, garlic houmous, sweet cous cous, pickled red cabbage, crispy herb salad and yoghurt & mint dressing £4.95            

TUESDAY

Chargrilled Pork Loin Chop with Cornish scrumpy & mushroom sauce or marinated butternut squash with mushroom, maple & mustard sauce. Served with parsley mash, sweet roasted parsnips and carrots £4.95 

WEDNESDAY

Roast –  Local Roast Meat or Vegan Roast of the Week. Served with seasonal vegetables, chef’s choice of trimmings & rich red wine gravy. £5.50, go large £6.50

THURSDAY

Carnitas – Corn Taco stuffed with cornish pork shoulder slow roasted in IPA and spices, & finished with caramelised BBQ sauce, served with longhorn green salad, texas caviar & buttermilk dressing. Ribs ‘n’ Wings – Salt & Pepper Pork Rib, BBQ Chicken Wings, mac ‘n’ cheese fritter or salt & pepper cauliflower ribs, banana blossom wing, mac ‘n’ cheese fritter. Both served with ranch salad & potato wedges.

TUESDAY

Lasagne – Cornish Beef or Soya (constructed with vegan ingredients). Cooked in a rich tomato sauce, layered with pasta and cheese sauce. Served with salad & garlic bread. £4.95
