Due to the recent water leak, the following buildings will remain closed until further notice:

  • Cornwall Business School

They have also created a Space Update: Where to find your SU this Welcome Week page on their website and will be updating this with any new information. Events that were planned to take place at the SU will have venue information updated on the What’s On page.

We are pleased to let you know that the following spaces are now open and fully operational:

  • DDM Seminar Rooms
  • Exeter teaching lab
  • Lecture Theatres A & B

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we put temporary arrangements in place following the recent flooding. We are working hard to restore services as quickly and safely as possible and return to normal operations.

Temporary Closure of Path to Rear of Falmouth Launchpad – Wednesday 16 September 2026

Due to the Bat Box survey taking place on campus, we need to retrieve bat boxes located up high along the path to the rear of the Falmouth Launchpad building.

Due to the access equipment, the operation of a raised platform, and working at height, it is necessary to close the path on Wednesday 16 September, 8:30am-17:00pm.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this task.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact the Estates Helpdesk on 01326 255686 or EstatesHelpdesk@fxplus.ac.uk.

Air Source Heating Installation at Sports Centre – 15-18 September 2026

As part of a programme of work to reduce carbon emissions on campus, a new air source heating system will be installed at the Sports Centre between 8:00am on Tuesday 15 September and 5:00pm on Friday 18 September.

During this time, access to a small corner section of the gym and the pathway outside at the rear of the Sports Centre will be restricted to ensure the work can be completed safely. The installation team will access the plant room via the rear gym entrance.

Thank you for your understanding while this work is carried out. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact the Estates Helpdesk on 01326 255686 or EstatesHelpdesk@fxplus.ac.uk.

Partial Closure of Falmouth Launchpad Car Park – 21-24 September 2026

Part of the car park at Falmouth Launchpad will be cordoned off and temporarily unavailable from Monday 21 to Thursday 24 September 2026.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact the Estates Helpdesk on 01326 255686 or EstatesHelpdesk@fxplus.ac.uk.

The Reading Room & Retreat Room (Penryn Campus Library) Closed – Until September

The summer refurbishment works in Penryn Campus Library are now underway. The Reading Room (Level 2) and Retreat Room are now CLOSED for the duration of the works.

There will also likely be noise disruption throughout the summer in the blue zone of Level 2.

What to expect in September…

The Reading Room will be converted into a multi-purpose study space, with a variety of seating types to suit your needs.

There will be spaces for 1:1 appointments with Academic Skills Advisors, English Language Tutors, and your Subject Librarians.

There will also be a new entrance from the Exchange Courtyard for ease of access.

The Reading Room is also being renamed to “The Study.”

The current Audio-Visual area will be repurposed into a focused study area, with a variety of solo booths for comfortable, low-distraction study.

We’ll also be reconfiguring the shelving in this area to house our print journals collection, for ease of access and browsability.

The AV materials previously in this area have been moved to the Yellow Zone on Level 2 of the library.

Stock Moves

Our collections have also been reconfigures, so some things may not be where you are used to.
Please ask a member of staff if you need help with anything, and thank you for your patience while we get our signage updated.
