Talking to someone may well be helpful – don’t bottle things up. Be easy on yourself.
Whilst it is completely normal to feel down sometimes, particularly if something in your life is not going well, if you have been feeling low for more than 10 days or if the feelings are constant throughout the day, please seek help and visit your Doctor. It is beneficial to get support as early as you can manage.
You may also wish to speak with your Course or Student Services to let them know how you are feeling.
If you feel able to do so it may also be beneficial to talk to any friends and family members who you trust, about your feelings. If you are feeling suicidal and feel that you are at immediate risk to yourself please contact your GP and explain how you are feeling. If your GP is closed called the NHS helpline on 111.
