This service supports the compulsory governmental 10-day quarantine period ONLY:

  • new arrivals from Amber list countries only, (but not EU/US students, see below), with proof of a recent negative test.

To reduce any risk of potential infection, you are NOT able to use this service if you are:

  • arriving from a Red list country (you must complete your quarantine in a government-approved hotel instead, and can join our later service once you have completed your quarantine)
  • arriving from a Green list country and are therefore not required to quarantine
  • fully vaccinated under the UK vaccination programme
  • arriving from amber countries who are fully vaccinated in the EU with vaccines authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or in the USA with vaccines authorised by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or in the Swiss vaccination programme.

The above groups should instead book the service leaving on 9th September 2021.

Important Details

The London Heathrow service on Thursday 2nd September is to support students travelling from Amber list countries that must comply with a 10 day quarantine upon arrival in England. The service is not suitable for arrivals from Red list countries who must quarantine in a Government-approved hotel, or for arrivals from Green list countries. It is also not suitable even if you are fully vaccinated under the UK programme or for passengers arriving from amber countries who are fully vaccinated in the EU with vaccines authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or in the USA with vaccines authorised by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or in the Swiss vaccination programme. This is because you are not required to quarantine on arrival and therefore should not share transport with those who are required to quarantine..

The coach service will take you directly to the Penryn Campus in Cornwall.  Once on campus, Collection Service passengers will be settled into free* quarantine campus accommodation and will be supported throughout the required quarantine period. *Your room will be free for the first 10 days before Welcome Weekend.

During this time, you will need to take a number of COVID-19 tests, including the UK Government required day 2 and day 8 tests you booked before you travelled. Please note, the University cannot help with organising these government-mandated tests.

Important Details

The above services are available to all students studying on the Penryn and Falmouth University Campuses in Cornwall at any level, including Falmouth University and University of Exeter students.

Capacity on all services is limited. Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis. If capacity is reached the booking system may be closed early.

COVID-19 Testing Requirements on ALL services

All passengers boarding the coaches will require proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test. This is to ensure all passengers are kept as safe as possible.

If you are arriving straight from the plane onto the coach, your test must have been taken in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs, as per UK government guidelines. In this case, the same test used to board your flight will be sufficient to allow you access to our coaches.

If you have been in the UK for more than 24 hours before you board our service, or if you cannot provide proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test for any other reason, we will ask you to perform a quick ‘lateral flow device’ (LFD) test in the airport. These will be provided to you for free by our staff, and only take 30 minutes to show the result. Once you can show a negative LFD test, you will be permitted to board the service.

Failure to produce a valid negative test certificate or take a lateral flow device with a negative result will mean you cannot use this service. This is for all users of the service.

COVID-19 safety

We will do everything possible to help ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible and reduce the risk to you and others of spreading the COVID-19 virus. UK Government guidelines at the time of travel will be followed and all passengers will be asked to comply as required. Appropriate safety, sanitisation and social distancing measures will be implemented on all services. These measures may include, but may not be limited to, distanced seating plans, wearing face coverings while travelling, regular hand sanitisation. Full details will be confirmed by email closer to the time to ensure the services fully comply with up to date UK law and government guidelines. By booking a place on the service and agreeing to our Terms and Conditions you give your agreement to follow the measures that will be in place on the day of the service.

Terms and Conditions

Before booking please read the relevant terms and conditions:
